A resident of Elma for 10 years, Jim resides with his wife Michele and two children daughter Brianna who attends Iroquois High School and his son Jett who attends Marilla Primary. Moving here from Lancaster Jim understands the value of controlling growth, and has served on the Town's Conservation Board. “The Town Council has a lot of control over how the Town will change in the future. Future development is an issue facing the Town right now. I believe I am representing the interests of my fellow citizens.”

Getting involved and making a difference is something that has been a part of his philosophy. Jim was previously a coach with the EMW youth football organization as well as the Assistant Football Commissioner. He also is currently a mite level hockey coach with the Buffalo Saints organization.

Jim believes in the importance of communication and feels it is the most essential part of everyday life. Jim has stated, “ If someone has communicated a need or and issue to, then my main priority should be to aid him or her in repairing the problem. Following up on an issue is the way to convince others whom you need to communicate with that I have listened to them and that there problems or issues are important as well. I find that if you prevent the small issues that normally will become large ones by making everyone aware that I am open to discussing issues at any time. Open lines of communication between the Board itself, Town employees, and residents of Elma are essential.”

“ I believe  that I have the management, leadership and financial skills necessary to be a fiscally responsible member of the Board. My experiences have taught me how to develop objectives, manage limited resources, and how to get people to work together in attaining goals. I will devote my energy, education, professional experiences and my commitment to excellence as a member of the Elma Town Board. I ran to continue to make Elma a great place to live, work and visit. Elma has so many assets from its geographical location to its recreation areas to its educational systems, but above all the town's greatest  resource is the people; the citizen and employees of the town that strive to make ma a great community. From volunteer EMS and fire fighters to local business owners, people in our town show concern for one another and are always willing to help out.

“ Increasing tax burdens on the taxpayers of Elma is unacceptable in today's  economy. Nonetheless, the town must supply critical services. The Town of Elma and its citizens are looking for a responsive leadership from the Town Council. Although many see our financial concerns as a major issue for our community, how we arrive at these solutions, and the process by which we resolve this issue is extremely important to the residents. Everyone in our community must live within their own personal means and the Town of Elma should not be an exception.”
